Nafiz M. Ahmed was born in Mills Memorial Hospital in San Mateo, California. He grew up in Burlingame and attended Burlingame High School. While at Burlingame High School, Nafiz competed on the junior varsity and varsity football team. He was also the varsity wrestling team captain. After graduating Burlingame High School, Nafiz enrolled at the University of California at Davis. While at UC Davis Nafiz served as a justice on the UC Davis Supreme Court for two years. He authored the majority opinion for all of the court's decisions during that time period. Nafiz loved being a UC Davis Aggie. However, he graduated early from UC Davis in three years in order to go to law school sooner. At Santa Clara University School of Law, Nafiz competed in Honors Moot Court and discovered his true passion for Constitutional and Criminal Law and Procedure.

Before starting his own law practice, Nafiz worked as a civil law attorney for a year. As of August 2008, Nafiz has successfully defended over six hundred criminal clients. He is a trial attorney. His unique love of the law guides him in successfully defending his client's cases in ways that other attorneys cannot. He has secured not guilty verdicts for clients facing a variety of charges ranging from driving under the influence of alcohol, to violent crimes to solicitation of prostitution. Nafiz knows what it takes to get the best possible outcome for your case. If he can't help you, he will refer you to someone who can. He also speaks Spanish and is committed to serving clients of all backgrounds.

Shari Sukaram – I decided to work in litigation as a young girl. The oldest of four children born to a teenage mother and immigrant father, I quickly learned responsibility and the need to be a leader and an advocate for others. From a young age, many close to me were entangled in the legal system. These experiences led me to become a defense attorney, dedicating my career to protecting and fighting for the rights of others.

Prior to establishing Ahmed & Sukaram, I graduated from the University of California San Diego with a B.A. in Political Science and a Minor in Psychology. I received my J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2007. I served as a certified legal intern for both the District Attorney's Office of Alameda County and the District Attorney's Office for Santa Clara County and worked as an intern for the San Diego Unified School District Office of the General Counsel.

Currently, my goal is not only to be a zealous advocate, but one who is sympathetic and understanding as to the emotional and mental impacts that the legal process can have on you and your loved ones. I defend adult criminal cases and also work in assisting juveniles with delinquency cases and with school expulsion-suspension matters. I am a strong believer that all individuals, even those who make mistakes, have a golden opportunity to achieve their dreams if they are given a chance, shown that they should believe in themselves and put on the proper path.

When I am not hard at work defending my clients, you will find me trying to be the best mom and wife in the Universe, having great adventures, at the beach, traveling, cooking, listening to music, singing my heart out, watching movies, and hanging out with my family and pets.
